Hello there! I’m Amoryn, the owner and baker behind Fantubelous Munchiez. It’s crazy to think how much we’ve grown! What started as a small operation in my mom’s kitchen five years ago has now blossomed into its very own space.
My passion for baking didn’t start in a fancy culinary school. I’ve loved food for as long as I can remember, spending my childhood helping my mom in the kitchen and watching her prepare our family meals. I’ll never forget my first dinner—I was only in second grade! It was nothing fancy, just pap, tomato and onion gravy, and boerewors, but it was the start of a lifelong love affair with cooking.
Just before COVID hit, I finished my studies to become a qualified Culinary & Patisserie Chef while working for a catering company. Like so many others, the pandemic changed my path. I moved back to Westonaria, and I couldn’t just sit still. I started baking, and before I knew it, my friends and family were placing orders. As word spread, my little side hustle turned into a full-fledged business, and I started baking for all of you!
